IPDS, with the support of International Labour Organization-ILO organized a national convention workshop of indigenous urban workers in Bangladesh. Prof. Dr. Mizanur Rahman, former chairman, national human rights commission, Bangladesh was addressed as chief guest in this event. Mr. Shorab Ali, Mr. Nahidul Hasan Nayan, GS, Sammilito Garments Sramik Federation, Mr. Alexius Chicham, National Coordinator, ILO were also present as special guest. More than 120 workers representative from different areas of the country were participated at the convention. In the last session of the convention a national committee and a advisory committee has been formed for indigenous urban workers. Mr. Sanjeeb Drong, President of IPDS presided over the session.
